Georgia O'Keeffe

Georgia Totto O'Keeffe was an American modernist painter and draftswoman whose career spanned seven decades. She gained international recognition for her paintings of natural forms, including flowers and desert-inspired landscapes, which were often drawn from the environments where she lived. O'Keeffe maintained a career largely independent of major art movements and preferred to be recognized simply as an artist rather than a woman artist.
