Hans-Joachim

Hans-Joachim Gehrke is a German historian of classical antiquity, university teacher, and philologist. He served as the president of the German Archaeological Institute from 2008 to 2011. In addition to his academic work in the history of Greece and historical geography, he has contributed to the field as a non-fiction author, translator, publisher, and lexicographer.
