Helen Chadwick

Helen Chadwick was a British sculptor, photographer, and installation artist known for exploring binary oppositions such as the organic and man-made. Her work frequently challenged perceptions of the body by utilizing unconventional, visceral materials like chocolate and rotting vegetable matter. In 1987, she became one of the first women to be nominated for the Turner Prize, recognized for her complex installations that blended traditional craftsmanship with sophisticated technology.
