Hilda Kuper

Hilda Beemer Kuper was a South African social anthropologist recognized for her extensive research on Swazi culture. Supported by a grant from the International African Institute of London, she documented the traditions and political vision of King Sobhuza II. Her long-term association with the Swazi royal family led to her being personally awarded Swazi citizenship by the King in 1970.
