James Ferguson

James Ferguson (1710–1776) was a Scottish astronomer, instrument maker, and globe maker. His formal education was limited to three months at the grammar school in Keith at the age of seven, following initial instruction in writing from his father. He remains recognized for his contributions to scientific instrumentation and astronomical study during the eighteenth century.
