Japanese Flowers
Marianne North (1830–1890) was a British artist and naturalist renowned for her extensive collection of botanical paintings. Her work, including the piece Japanese Flowers, is permanently housed in the Marianne North Gallery at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Her detailed illustrations provide a significant historical record of global flora documented during her extensive travels throughout the nineteenth century.
