Jim Secord

James Andrew Secord is an American-born historian of science and a former professor at the University of Cambridge. A fellow of Christ's College and the British Academy, he served as the director of the project to publish the complete Correspondence of Charles Darwin. He is widely recognized for his study Victorian Sensation, which examines the reception of the 1844 evolutionary text Vestiges of the Natural History of Creation.
