Jose Leonilson

José Leonilson Bezerra Dias was a Brazilian artist who worked as a painter, draughtsman, textile artist, and sculptor. Based primarily in Brazil, his conceptual practice explored themes of love and grief through a queer lens. Following an HIV diagnosis at age 34, he continued to create work until his death from complications related to the condition.
