Joseph E Stiglitz

Joseph E. Stiglitz is an American New Keynesian economist, professor at Columbia University, and public policy analyst. A recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences and the John Bates Clark Medal, he has served as chief economist of the World Bank and chairman of the U.S. Council of Economic Advisers. His work focuses on critical perspectives regarding globalization, laissez-faire economics, and international financial institutions.
