Juan Rulfo
Juan Rulfo (1917–1986) was a Mexican writer, screenwriter, and photographer associated with the Generation of '52. He is widely recognized as one of the most significant Latin American authors of the twentieth century. His literary reputation is primarily established by the short story collection El Llano en llamas, published in 1953, and his 1955 novel Pedro Páramo, both of which have exerted a profound influence on subsequent generations of writers.
