Judith Tannenbaum

Judith Tannenbaum (1947–2019) was an American teaching artist and writer born in Chicago and raised in Los Angeles. She worked extensively in community-based arts, focusing on prison issues and teaching poetry in settings ranging from primary schools to maximum security facilities. Throughout her career, she contributed to the field by speaking at conferences and panels regarding prison arts.
