Kevin Young

Kevin Young is an American poet and the former director of the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of African American History and Culture. He has authored 11 books and edited eight others, previously serving as the poetry editor of The New Yorker. A former Guggenheim Fellow, Young has held academic positions at Emory University and led the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.
