Malcolm X
Malcolm X was an American civil rights activist and Muslim minister who rose to prominence during the civil rights movement. After joining the Nation of Islam while imprisoned, he served as the organization's spokesperson from 1952 until 1964, when he transitioned to Sunni Islam. A complex figure, he is recognized for his pursuit of racial justice and remains one of the most significant Muslim figures in the United States.
