Manansala
Vicente Silva Manansala (1910–1981) was a Filipino cubist painter and illustrator. As one of the first abstractionists in the Philippine art scene, he is recognized for bridging the gap between rural and cosmopolitan life. His work often depicts a nation in transition, reflecting the cultural shifts brought by American influence. Alongside Fabian de la Rosa, Manansala remains one of the best-selling Philippine artists in the West.
