Maria Campbell

Maria Campbell is a Métis author, playwright, broadcaster, filmmaker, and Elder. She is a fluent speaker of Cree, Michif, Western Ojibwa, and English. Campbell is widely recognized for her memoir Halfbreed, which details her experiences as a Métis woman. Beyond her literary contributions, she is an active participant in social movements and political activism.
