Marta Russell
Marta Russell was an American writer, journalist, and disability rights activist. Her 1998 book, Beyond Ramps: Disability at the End of the Social Contract, examines the intersection of disability, social Darwinism, and austerity. Her writing addressed topics including health care, the prison-industrial complex, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 from a self-described left-wing political perspective.
