Melanie Klein

Melanie Klein (1882–1960) was an Austrian-British psychoanalyst and author recognized for her pioneering work in child analysis. As a primary figure in the development of object relations theory, she explored how pre-verbal existential anxiety and early nurturing experiences shape the unconscious. Her research focused on the role of moral ambiguity and ambivalence in human development and how these factors influence psychological distress in later life.
