Nafissa Thompson-Spires
Nafissa Thompson-Spires is an American writer. Her debut book, Heads of the Colored People, received the Los Angeles Times Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction, the PEN Open Book Award, a Hurston/Wright Legacy Award, and an Audie Award. Her novel, The Four Wives and Five Deaths of Richard Milford, is scheduled for publication in 2026.
