Naito

Naitō Jōsō was a Japanese haiku poet and a prominent disciple of Bashō during the Genroku period. Originally a samurai from Owari, he transitioned to a literary life following his departure from military service due to health concerns. He remained a dedicated follower of Bashō throughout his career, maintaining a deep commitment to his mentor's teachings long after the master's death in 1694.
