Nina Simone

Nina Simone was an American composer, concert pianist, singer, and songwriter known as the High Priestess of Soul. Her musical style spanned classical, folk, gospel, blues, jazz, R&B, and pop, characterized by a contralto voice and piano playing influenced by baroque and classical traditions. In addition to her musical career, she was a prominent civil rights activist.
