Owen

Wilfred Owen was an English poet and soldier who became one of the leading voices of the First World War. His work, which documented the harsh realities of trench and gas warfare, stood in stark contrast to the patriotic verse of his contemporaries. Known for poems such as Dulce et Decorum est and Anthem for Doomed Youth, Owen was killed in action in 1918 at the age of 25, with most of his writing published posthumously.
