Paul Beatty

Paul Beatty is an American novelist, poet, and professor of writing at Columbia University. Born in 1962, he gained international recognition for his 2015 novel The Sellout. In 2016, he became the first writer from the United States to receive the Man Booker Prize, and he was also honored with the National Book Critics Circle Award for the same work.
