Pierre J. Capretz
Pierre J. Capretz was a French educator and writer recognized for his innovative audio-visual methods in language instruction. After teaching at the University of Florida, he joined the Yale University faculty, where he served as Director of the Language Laboratory. He is best known as the creator and host of the PBS television series French in Action and received an honorary Doctor of Letters from Middlebury College in 1993.
