Randall Munroe is an American cartoonist, author, and engineer born in 1984. He is best known as the creator of the webcomic xkcd, which he has produced full-time since 2006. In addition to his webcomic work, he has authored several books including What If?, Thing Explainer, How To, and What If? 2.
