Richard J. Evans

Sir Richard J. Evans is a British historian specializing in 19th- and 20th-century European history, with a particular focus on Germany. He is the author of eighteen books, most notably The Third Reich Trilogy. A former Regius Professor of History at the University of Cambridge, he has served as Provost of Gresham College since 2014 and was appointed a Knight Bachelor in 2012 for his contributions to scholarship.
