Robert Carleton Hobbs

Robert Carleton Hobbs is an American art historian and curator specializing in twentieth-century art. He has held the Rhoda Thalhimer Endowed Chair of American Art at Virginia Commonwealth University since 1991 and has served as a visiting professor at Yale University since 2004. His career includes academic and curatorial positions at Cornell University, the University of Iowa, Florida State University, and the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art.
