Robert J. Dole
Robert J. Dole was an American attorney, U.S. Army officer, and politician who served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1961 to 1969 and the U.S. Senate from 1969 to 1996. During his tenure in the Senate, he served as Republican leader for 11 years. He was the Republican nominee for vice president in 1976 and for president in 1996.
