Robert Jordan

James Oliver Rigney Jr., known by the pen name Robert Jordan, was an American author of epic fantasy. He is best known for his 14-book series, The Wheel of Time, which began with the 1990 publication of The Eye of the World. A former military officer who served two tours in Vietnam, Jordan also authored several original Conan the Barbarian novels during his career.
