Robert Scholes

Robert E. Scholes (1929–2016) was an American literary critic and theorist. A scholar of English and university teacher, he is widely recognized for his influential contributions to the study of fabulation and metafiction. His academic work remains a foundational element of contemporary literary theory and criticism.
