Roddy Doyle

Roderick Doyle is an Irish novelist, dramatist, and screenwriter born in 1958. His extensive body of work includes eleven novels for adults, eight children's books, and numerous plays. Set primarily in working-class Dublin, his writing is recognized for its frequent use of Irish English dialect and slang. In 1993, he received the Booker Prize for his novel Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha, and several of his works have been adapted into films.
