Roger Gilbert-Lecomte

Roger Gilbert-Lecomte was a French avant-garde poet and a co-founder of the artistic group and magazine Le Grand Jeu. Although associated with the surrealist movement, his group was eventually excommunicated by André Breton. Gilbert-Lecomte famously utilized morphine for both artistic and sociological purposes, and he ultimately died from an infection caused by the use of contaminated hypodermic needles.
