Saint Thomas more
Sir Thomas More was an English lawyer, judge, social philosopher, author, and Renaissance humanist who served as Lord Chancellor to Henry VIII from 1529 to 1532. He is best known for his 1516 work Utopia, which details the political structure of an imaginary island nation. Veneration of More within the Catholic Church recognizes him as both a saint and a martyr.
