Tara Betts

Tara Betts is an American poet and the author of three poetry collections: Arc & Hue, Break the Habit, and Refuse to Disappear. She has taught at various institutions, including DePaul University, the University of Illinois-Chicago, and Rutgers University, and served as the Inaugural Poet for The People Practitioner Fellow at the University of Chicago. Betts is the poetry editor at The Langston Hughes Review and founder of The Whirlwind Learning Center.
