Tarsila do Amaral
Tarsila do Amaral was a Brazilian painter, draftswoman, and translator recognized as a leading figure in Latin American modernism. A member of the Grupo dos Cinco, she played a central role in the development of the Antropofagia movement. Her painting Abaporu served as the direct inspiration for Oswald de Andrade’s Manifesto Antropófago, cementing her influence on the Brazilian modern art movement.
