Tom Stoppard
Sir Tom Stoppard, born Tomáš Sträussler, was a Czech and English playwright and screenwriter known for his work across stage, film, radio, and television. His writing frequently explored themes of human rights, censorship, and political freedom through a philosophical lens. A playwright for the National Theatre, Stoppard was knighted in 1997 and received the Order of Merit in 2000 for his significant contributions to theatre.
