V.S. Naipaul

Sir Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul was a Trinidad and Tobago-born British writer known for his extensive body of fiction and nonfiction. Over a fifty-year career, he published more than thirty books, ranging from comic novels set in Trinidad to travel chronicles and essays. His prose was widely admired, though his perspectives frequently generated public controversy.
