Valerie Boyd

Valerie Boyd was an American writer and academic who served as the Charlayne Hunter-Gault Distinguished Writer-in-Residence at the University of Georgia. She is best known for her biography, Wrapped in Rainbows: The Life of Zora Neale Hurston. During her career, she taught narrative nonfiction, arts, and literary journalism at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
