Vittorio

Vittorio Amedeo Alfieri (1749–1803) was an Italian dramatist and poet widely recognized as the founder of Italian tragedy. His extensive body of work includes nineteen tragedies, various sonnets, satires, and a notable autobiography, alongside translations of classical Greek and Latin texts. His literary contributions exerted a profound influence on the development of British Romantic poetry.
