William S. Burroughs

William S. Burroughs was an American writer and visual artist associated with the Beat Generation and postmodern literature. His experimental prose often incorporated semi-autobiographical elements, including his experiences with drug addiction and various international residences. Alongside Brion Gysin, he popularized the cut-up technique, while his work frequently explored themes of the occult, mysticism, and unreliable narration.
