Xu Bing

Xu Bing is a Chinese artist born in 1955 who served as vice-president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Known for his work in printmaking and installation art, he frequently explores the creative use of language and text. He is currently an A.D. White Professor-at-Large at Cornell University and has been recognized with the MacArthur Fellowship and the Fukuoka Prize.
