Yogananda Paramahansa

Paramahansa Yogananda was an Indian-born monk, yogi, and guru who founded the Self-Realization Fellowship to disseminate his teachings. After immigrating to the United States at age 27, he spent his final 32 years advocating for a balance between Western material growth and Eastern spirituality. Often cited as the father of yoga in the West, he served as a philosopher and writer dedicated to demonstrating the unity between diverse religious traditions.
