Greene & Greene: Architects in the Residential Style

As builders “employing the process art,” the Greenes reached for perfection, and their work symbolizes the culmination of the 19th century idealism that had spawned the residential style. The distinguished photographer, William R. Current, has sensitively studied the remnants of what once were the finest homes in America.
