Richard Niessen — Building Site

by

Published to accompany Richard Niessen's Building Site installation at le Signe, France's National Center for Graphic Design in Chaumont. The installation refers to Niessen's encyclopedic project, "The Palace of Typographic Masonry," and featured twelve celebratory announcement posters. This publication (a poster set) presents the posters as a full set. They evoke a mix of method, historical awareness, and playfulness, embodying characteristics of Niessen's practice while inviting graphic designers and lovers of the visual communication to keep sharing examples of graphic design's unique qualities, awesome power, and inexhaustible energy.
