A revelatory compilation of sketchbook pages from a protagonist of 1970s New York painting Nachume Miller (1949–98) was a German-born Israeli painter who became well known in the US after immigrating to New York City in 1974. Miller’s first major exhibition was the Guggenheim’s Young American Artists: 1978 Exxon National Exhibition (he was the youngest artist ever to present work at the museum); he also exhibited at Exit Art, MoMA and the E.M.
