At first glance, the sculptures and large installations by Robert Kusmirowski (*1973 in Lodz) seem to be readymades, but upon closer inspection turn out to be three-dimensional trompe l'œil objects made of simple materials such as wood, cardboard, or Styrofoam. The artist therefore not only creates prints, documents, objects, and spaces, but also complex actions that refer to historical events or sites, thus transporting the issues connected to them to the present.
