Massimiliano Gioni
Massimiliano Gioni is an Italian contemporary art curator and critic based in New York City. He has served as the artistic director of the New Museum since 2014 and was appointed as its director effective August 2026. Additionally, he holds artistic director roles at the Nicola Trussardi Foundation and the Beatrice Trussardi Foundation in Milan. Gioni previously curated the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013.
