During an artist residency in La Bourboule (Auvergne, France), Claire came across various archived materials in the attic of the town hall. She folded, cropped, and then applied these materials to colored backgrounds. The outcome is an installation of 10 framed compositions, in A4 format. This book presents these works through Claire's delicate consideration of material and sequence. Her intention is to celebrate the beauty and plasticity of these documents by taking them out from the shadows and giving them a new life. Claire Huss is an art director and graphic designer based in Paris. Since 2018 she runs her own studio in Paris working for international clients in the fields of design, lifestyle, culture, fashion and beauty. She regularly collaborates with artists and photographers on printed publications and exhibitions.
